JASON GEARY

Jason has been involved with Australia's premiere improvisation company, Impro Melbourne, as performer, director and co-creator in many of the company's productions for ten years, including sell out comedy festival shows, Late Night Impro and Celebrity Theatresports. He has travelled the world improvising, training and teaching in Asia, America, Europe, New Zealand and across Australia. Jason is well known for character comedy. Most recently seen as the iSelect boss in the award winning advertisement campaign. He's appeared in Channel Ten's 'Thank God You're Here', and was part of the ensemble writing/performing team on 'SkitHouse'. He has worked with Shaun Micallef in 'Micallef Tonight' (Nine), 'Welcher and Welcher' (ABC), and three series of the Logie award winning 'Micallef' Programme'. His stage credits include 'Eurobeat Almost Eurovision', which he co hosted with Julia Zemiro. Jason is Australia's current national Theatresports champion and is seen on Billboards all over Melbourne as the iSelect Guy.

 

 

RIK BROWN

Rik has been involved in the Melbourne Comedy Scene for the past 14 years. He has appeared in numerous Comedy Festival Shows including The Bingo Board of Doom [2001] Impro3Shuffle [2008] Puppy Fight Social Club [2010] Ultimate Board Game Unscripted [2010] Random Musical [2010] and in Comedy Festival Favourites Spontaneous Broadway, Late Night Impro and Celebrity Theatresports. Rik has also appeared on the Comedy Channel Programme 'Comedy Slapdown' and on Channel 31 shows TheatreGames Live and The Mutant Way.

 

KARL MCCONNELL

Karl has been performing for 15 years and is one of the countries top Improvisors whose talents are in constant demand. Karl has worked nationally, through Europe and with Impro Melbourne, where he is the current Artistic Director. He has performed in Festival shows, The Bingo Board of Doom [2001], Late Night Impro and Celebrity Theatresports.

JOSH G ABRAHAMS

Josh signed to Festival Records in Australia in 1997. Film director Baz Lurhmann became interested in Abrahams' work, and asked him to co-produce some tracks for Lurhmann's album Something for Everybody, one of which became the 1998 UK no1 single, 'Everybody's Free (To Wear Sunscreen)'. Abrahams' chart success continued in the 1999 with the Australian platinum selling single' Addicted to Bass" where he teamed with singer Amiel Daemion, which peaked at no15 on the ARIA singles chart. The associated album Sweet Distorted Holiday, which peaked in the top 50 on the ARIA albums chart, was released in 1999. The second single, "Headroom", another collaboration with Daemion, peaked outside the ARIA Top 100, while 'Thrillseeker', the third single was released as a promotional single in Australia. Abrahams also had top 50 chart success in New Zealand with 'Addicted To Bass', 'Thrillseeker' and Sweet Distorted Holiday. Abrahams set the record for number of ARIA nominations for an artist on an independent label that year, getting six nods, for record of the year, best male artist, best independent release, best dance artist album, best video, and best engineer. He ended up winning two ARIAs, for Best Dance Album and Best Independent Release. In 2001, Abrahams added to his producer credits by producing the platinum selling single 'Lovesong' and the gold selling album Audio Out for Amiel.
